The Beastie Boys, ‘To the 5 Burroughs’

In the movie “Old School,” three middle-aged men regain their youthful exuberance, and by embracing their adolescent tendencies, ultimately grow into their overdue adulthood.
How fitting. The original white-bread hip-hoppers have re-embraced their “old school” flavor and now are as poignant as ever. With an approach similar to 1989’s masterpiece “Paul’s Boutique,” Mike D, Ad-Rock and MCA appear more in tune with each other than they have over the last decade.
However, following recent suit, the boys have a cause to petition. This time around, it’s the White House and all things “W.” Can this record get any better?
