The 1990s

1990sGlasgow, Scotland must be a damn fun place to raise a pint, crank up the stereo, and hit the dance floor with another pint in hand. From The Fratellis to Franz Ferdinand to Sons & Daughters to Glasvegas, the rock-fueled parties in this wee little northern U.K. country certainly can boast an impressive hometown roster. Not to be left off the list is the glam-rocking, fun-loving, boastful anthems of The 1990s. Drawing from the Scottish trio’s canon of sing-a-long tunes from this year’s Kicks as well as their 2007 debut Cookies, the band is poised to soundtrack many a night of excessive boozing and speed-limitless road trips. And at age 38, singer Jackie McKeown is as energetic as he was while fronting his under-the-radar act The Yummy Fur for much of the 1990s. How apropos.
